Happy Motivation Monday Y’all!

The start of a new year is supposed to be a reset button. A fresh start. A new era. A moment where you suddenly become more motivated, more organized, more disciplined, and more confident—just because the calendar changed.

We are already in the second week of 2026, and how many are still feeling motivated? For many years, I would create a list of new year resolutions that I didn’t hold myself accountable for; and consequently, most of the things I wanted to accomplish would go out the window so-to-speak, and by February or March, it was just an after-thought.

A few years ago, my therapist provided me with a different perspective on having resolutions verse using ONE WORD. A resolution can feel like an inflexible rule, why choosing a word can feel more like a direction, or a gentle nudge. Instead of setting a long list of goals, I asked the Holy Spirit to give me a word for guidance. The WORD given to me was INTENTIONAL.

I immediately understood what The Holy Spirit was impressing upon my heart. This word is so flexible because I can choose when and how to apply it in my life. For instance, I am intentional about growing my relationship with Christ. I am intentional about how I will show up for others. I will also be intentional about how I ALLOW others to treat me. I will be attentional about allowing people in my sacred spaces.

What about you? What is the ONE WORD you will allow The Holy Spirit to download in your spirit and use instead of resolutions?

Love y'all to life!
