Let Your Attitude be Reflective of Your Gratitude!

I love the upcoming holidays! I am thankful that the Thanksgiving holiday has been set aside for us to gather together to spend time with family and friends. But are we just as grateful the other 364 days of the year.

The story of the ten lepers (Luke 17: 11-19) arrested my spirit. Ten men with leprosy, which they were considered ceremonially unclean were healed of their painful disease, but only one was grateful and returned to thank Jesus. What this says to me is, nine men were healed on the exterior, but still needed some inner work.

Like all of us at times, we gripe and complain about things we have most of the times, prayed for. Case in point, I prayed for my job with the county. But within the first week, I was ready to quit because it "seemed" a little too much. Shucks, I'm retired already was my attitude. In a word, I was ungrateful even when the Lord blessed me. Needless to say, the Holy Spirit quickened my spirit. The Holy Spirit checked me about my posture of gratitude, for my attitude wasn't reflective of being grateful.

Take time and reflect on areas where your attitude should reflect more on your thankfulness and gratefulness, even in the small blessings we often pass over. When we step into areas of ingratitude, it has the power to change us that we begin to feel entitled.

Let us be remined daily of the many ways the Lord bless us and allow our attitudes to become "GRATEFUL FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE!"

Let's pause and point out reasons we are thankful/grateful.

There's nothing like the power of prayer. My team and I would love to pray with you, send your request here: [email protected]

Happy Thanksgiving!
